How to Set Custom Values for Victron TankSenders
- Enable Sensors: Navigate to the I/O menu
(Settings → I/O → Analog input) on the GX device
settings. Enable the sensors here. - Configuration: Once enabled, the tank will appear in the main Device List. Navigate to the Main Device List, Select your tank and then go to “SETUP”
- Select “Standard” and set this to “Custom” - you will now have 2 new fields in the SETUP menu called “Sensor value when empty” and “Sensor
value when full” - Fill your tank until it can’t take any more liquid.
- Navigate down to the field called “Sensor Value”, take note of the value.
- Navigate to the “Sensor when full” field and set it to the value shown in “Sensor Value”
- Empty the tank.
- Navigate down to the field called “Sensor Value”, take note of the value.
- Navigate to the “Sensor when empty” field and set it to the value shown in “Sensor Value”.
- Navigate to “Volume Unit” and set the value (e.g., Cubic meter, litre, U.S gallon).
- Navigate to “Capacity” and set the size of the tank
- Navigate to “Fluid Type” and set it to Fuel, Fresh Water, Waste Water etc
- Assign a custom name for the tank.
- Go back one menu level to and select DEVICE
- Navigate to “Name” and set the name for your tank.
