How to Set Custom Values for Victron TankSenders

 

  1. Enable Sensors: Navigate to the I/O menu

    (Settings → I/O → Analog input) on the GX device
    settings. Enable the sensors here.

  2. Configuration: Once enabled, the tank will appear in the main Device List. Navigate to the Main Device List, Select your tank and then go to “SETUP”


  3. Select “Standard” and set this to “Custom” - you will now have 2 new fields in the SETUP menu called “Sensor value when empty” and “Sensor
    value when full”


  4. Fill your tank until it can’t take any more liquid.


  5. Navigate down to the field called “Sensor Value”, take note of the value.


  6. Navigate to the “Sensor when full” field and set it to the value shown in “Sensor Value”


  7. Empty the tank.


  8. Navigate down to the field called “Sensor Value”, take note of the value.


  9. Navigate to the “Sensor when empty” field and set it to the value shown in “Sensor Value”.


  10. Navigate to “Volume Unit” and set the value (e.g., Cubic meter, litre, U.S gallon).


  11. Navigate to “Capacity” and set the size of the tank


  12. Navigate to “Fluid Type” and set it to Fuel, Fresh Water, Waste Water etc


  13. Assign a custom name for the tank.


  14. Go back one menu level to and select DEVICE

  15. Navigate to “Name” and set the name for your tank.
